Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stressed in a speech on the occasion of the Army Day, that Lebanon stands in front of two options, collapse or stability, stressing the need to work hard to save the country.
President Aoun said that Lebanon “worked to restore itself to its Arab surroundings and the international community,” stressing its keenness to build a state for all its children and restore the world’s confidence in it, as he expressed keenness to stabilize relations with Syria.
The Lebanese President called on Hezbollah and its national environment to bet on the Lebanese state alone, considering that the Lebanese army is the most guarantee to stop the aggression against Lebanon, stressing that the army is determined to complete its deployment in southern Lebanon.
Aoun explained that Lebanon needs one billion dollars annually for ten years to support the army, adding that the Army Foundation has maintained the independence of its national decision and the continuation of its operations despite all the circumstances.
On the regional affairs, the Lebanese President said: “We are tired of the wars and wars of our lands on our land,” and called for the endowment of the absurd war, killing and destruction in Lebanon, and he indicated that Washington was required to stop Israeli attacks on Lebanon, air, air and sea.
Aoun stressed that the government will present next week the amended American paper on the cabinet, calling for the opportunity to support and support the inventory of weapons in the hands of the state.
