His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, received, at the Qudaibiya Palace this day, His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the sisterly Lebanese Republic, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, on the occasion of the official visit made by his Excellency to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Upon the arrival of the generous guest of the country, an official reception ceremony took place, and the Lebanese National Salaman and the Bahraini royalty were played, after which the artillery launched 21 shots to salute the country’s guest presenter, then his luxury shook hands with His Highness, Excellency and Happiness from the Bahraini side, while His Majesty the King shook hands with the members of the official delegation accompanying the President of the Lebanese Republic.
Then, His Majesty the Great King held a bilateral talks session with His Excellency the Lebanese President in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of His Majesty the King, and His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Acts and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice -President of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports Sports, Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and a number of senior officials from both sides.
The two sides reviewed the path of close brotherly relations, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and serve their mutual interests, and affirmed the constant keenness to develop Bahraini -Lebanese relations, and to look forward to pushing them forward in a way that brings good and growth on the two countries and the two peoples.
His Majesty, the great king, emphasized the depth of the close historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Lebanese Republic, which is witnessing a remarkable development and continuous growth at all levels.
The two sides discussed the course of events in the region and regional and international developments for common concern, and exchanged views on them, and developments were discussed on the Lebanese scene and the efforts made towards it.
For his part, His Excellency the Lebanese President appreciated the positions of the authentic and honorable Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty the King towards Lebanon and its people, and its keenness on the unity of Lebanon and ensuring its security and stability, stressing his country’s aspiration to document the good cooperation relations with the Kingdom for the good and goodness of their two brotherly peoples.
After that, the extensive talks session between His Majesty the King of the country and His Excellency the Lebanese President was held in the presence of senior officials in the two brotherly countries.

We all hope that our good meetings will continue with you, embodying the depth of the brotherly relations that bring our two countries together, based on appreciation, mutual respect and sincere love.
We are pleased that your generous visit coincide with the fifty -third anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two brotherly countries, and the resumption of diplomatic representation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Lebanon.
On this occasion, we announce with great pride in our decision to establish a permanent Bahraini diplomatic mission in Beirut, looking forward to these discussions be a new station for a fruitful bilateral cooperation in various fields of common concern.
In this context, we emphasize the importance of activating the Bahraini -Lebanese joint committee to implement notes of understanding and agreements concluded, and to explore more promising opportunities that serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and return them with good and benefit. It is something that we are always keen on in terms of bilateral relations.
Bahrain has always received expatriates from the people of Lebanon and its lovers, and was keen to be welcome and attention, in appreciation of the services they provided and still provide to our country. It is also concerned with us, on the other hand, that Lebanon’s suffering does not continue to receive those who take advantage of the atmosphere of freedom and openness in it, and instead of grateful for its hospitality, it offends it and costs it the most expensive prices, which is what we reject and we hope not to repeat it.
His Excellency the President, the Kingdom of Bahrain is always keen on standing alongside the sisterly Lebanese Republic, especially in these accurate circumstances that the region is going through, as we emphasize our full support for Lebanese efforts aimed at strengthening sovereignty and national unity. We also renew our full support for the efforts of your luxury and the Lebanese government, in a manner that guarantees the interest of the Lebanese people, and restores to Lebanon its pioneering position in its Arab and international surroundings.
Once again, we welcome your Excellency a generous and dear brother in your second country, and that we are confident that Lebanon, with your wise leadership, will rise again to return, as we have always entrusted, as home to unity, peace and human coexistence, and for this beautiful country a beacon for the Arab East, and a gateway to the desired regional stability.
