The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported in a report today, Wednesday, that the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, was completely wiped, and that the Israeli occupation army increased the frequency of the demolition of homes and buildings in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli newspaper published recent pictures of satellites taken during the recent days showing that the Israeli occupation army destroyed Khan Yunis, the second largest city in the Gaza Strip, almost completely.
The total destruction in the Gaza Strip is currently estimated at about 70% of the buildings that have been completely destroyed or damaged in a way that makes them uninterrupted.
The occupation army intensifies the destruction campaign in Gaza
The photos show that in recent months, thousands of buildings have been destroyed in the city and its surroundings, on an area of approximately 90 square kilometers.
Most of the damage occurred in the towns adjacent to Khan Yunis, Bani Suhaila, Aban Al -Kabeer, and Al -Shujair, where it is clear that most of the buildings were completely destroyed.
As for the town of Khuza’a, it was greatly destroyed at the beginning of the war, and it is now completely erased, noting that it is clear that most of the destruction was used to use engineering tools, according to the newspaper.
The newspaper said that in recent months, the Israeli occupation army has greatly intensified the destruction of buildings in the southern Gaza Strip through private sector contractors who receive thousands of shekels for each building destroying.
Haaretz quoted a resident of the Abasan area as saying: There was destruction in the past, but not as it is now, it is comprehensive, east of Khan Yunis, Khuza’a, Aban, Bani Suhaila, everything is destroyed, unless he was bombed with bulldozers.
It was stated that, according to the accounts of Ade bin Noun, a maps expert from the Hebrew University, in central Khan Yunis alone, about 2,200 buildings have been destroyed since May, or about 7.6% of the total buildings in the area.
The newspaper reported that Bin Nun’s accounts destroyed about 67% of the buildings in this region or suffered severe damage before May, and now about 74% of them were destroyed, compared to 89% of the buildings that were destroyed in the neighboring city of Rafah by May, and 43% in Deir Al -Balah.
One of the displaced from the area told the newspaper: This is not just a fight, but rather the destruction of some areas, even the Israeli army itself announced that there is nothing left. Nobody imagined such cruelty, everything is simply greeted and destroyed.
