Sheikh Issa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, witnessed the opening ceremony of the World Snooker Championship, which was held on Sunday 14 July 2025 in the Bahrain Convention Center hall at the Crown Plaza Hotel under the kind patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahraini Olympic Committee.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Second Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Authority for Sports, Faris Mustafa Al -Kohaji, Secretary -General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Mundhir Jawad Al -Basri, President of the Bahrain Federation for Blys and Darties, and a number of presidents and representatives of international federations, senior attendees and invitees.
Al -Ittihad will host five championships and are both the World Professors Championship for Snooker (Men), the World Championship for Snooker 6 Kittes (Men), the U -17 World Championship (Boys), the U -21 World Championship (Boys), the U -21 World Championship (Girls).
