A young Bahraini team called “Luxa” succeeded in converting their passion into a professional artistic project in the field of manual carpet industry, after they fully learned this craft through educational videos on YouTube. “Linux”, in appreciation of the spirit of creativity in the field of manual artistic carpet. The meeting came one day after the publication of “Al -Watan” a video meeting with the team, during which the young Youssef Nabil, one of the team members, reviewed his passion for this art. One of the artistic works is the fruit of what they have learned self, without any previous background in this field. In a creative step that represents a remarkable national achievement, the team carried out rare artistic paintings, the most prominent of which are two carpets that were described as “unparalleled in the world”, they were shown during a charity match that brought together the stars of Real Madrid and Barcelona in Qatar. The team was able to obtain the signatures of a number of football legends such as Eric Abidal, Luis Vigo, Seedorf, Andres Iniesta, Thierry Henry, and Alessandro Del Pierre. They emphasized that the two pieces bear a high technical and global value that is difficult to estimate financially to their rarity, which drives them to think about putting them in international auctions with the help of specialists. In a distinctive technical gesture, the team presented a special gift to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Public Authority for Sports, Chairman of the Bahraini Olympic Committee during their participation in the “Comyon” exhibition in Bahrain. The gift won the admiration of His Highness, as he later informed them that he had suspended it in his personal council, which was a great motivation for the team to continue to develop their works. Among the most prominent work also, a artistic carpet embodies an official image of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Acts and Youth Affairs, was carried out manually in Bahrain during a period that took between two to 3 weeks. And to have the opportunity to present it as a personal gift for His Highness in appreciation of his inspiring role, and the dream was achieved yesterday. The team members indicated that the most popular designs among the public are those that carry the slogans of international sports clubs, led by Barcelona and Real Madrid, because the emotional Arab youth are linked to these clubs. Carpet prices start from 35 dinars, and differ according to the size of the piece and the level of technical details required in each design.
