A young director and writer from Alexandria narrated an unforgettable humanitarian position in the late artist Lotfi Labib, in 2008, when he continued with him for the first time to show the scenario of a short movie he had written, without mediation or previous knowledge.
The director said in a post on his personal account: His speech and I said to him that I am from Alexandria and a short movie writer and I want to read it.

The director added: I preferred to speak to him every day after that, and he responds in his cute way: You see me if you spoke to me with a ball, I would be his village? On the fourth day, he surprised me and said: His village … and I got out of Harif and Sa’ia.
The director continued his talk about the humility of Lotfi Labib, saying: When I started to explain the budget, he interrupted me and said: What is the budget of what, Baba?! Are you going to eat?! Your generation and I do not want neither money nor Arabs nor assistant .. Even the brick is a saline solution and we dine glucose.
He stressed that Lotfi Labib agreed to participate without any material compensation or conditions, only in support of a young talent, which reflects the size of his humanity and his belief in art.
He also narrated a dialogue that took place between him and the late about the choice of the artist participating with him, and he said: I told him with an idea of Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra or Youssef Dawood, he said: If you speak to Joseph, his saying, Lotfi Labib, he would tell you and miss you.
He concluded his post with sad words: It is clear that Youssef Dawood really took him, Professor Lotfi .. Goodbye Lotfi Labib, the human being before the artist.
