Government hospitals host Professor Mohamed El Sawaf in children’s endoscopic surgery

Within the framework of the “visitor doctor” program supervised by the Supreme Committee for Treatment Abroad, government hospitals, Professor Mohamed El -Sawaf, hosted Professor of Children’s Surgery at Tanta University and the Secretary of the Egyptian Pediatric Surgery Association, during a scientific visit that witnessed an intense activity in the field of children’s endoscopic and newborns.

During his visit, Professor Al -Sawaf performed eight accurate surgeries for children with rare birth defects, including an emergency operation for a child with “Hersberng”, and supervised the diagnosis and inspection of ten complex medical conditions, as part of an integrated treatment plan in cooperation with local cadres.

The program witnessed the organization of a specialized workshop in children’s endoscopic surgery, in addition to providing three interactive scientific lectures for the surgical department, attended by a large number of doctors and medical cadres from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, where it was broadcast on the “Times” platform to expand the circle of benefit.

In this context, Dr. Maryam Azbi Al -Jalahmah, CEO of government hospitals, affirmed that hosting international medical competencies such as Professor Mohammed Al -Sawaf reflects the commitment of government hospitals to enhance accurate specializations and exchange experiences, which contributes to continuing to develop national medical skills and upgrade the level of services provided.

She also mentioned the qualitative role played by Professor Al -Sawaf through his surgical and training contributions, considering that the “visiting doctor” program represents an important tributary in supporting the quality of health care in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

For his part, Professor Mohamed El -Sawaf expressed his appreciation for the level of organization and professionalism in the health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the efficiency of the Bahraini medical and nursing staff, and stressing that the visit was a rich opportunity to exchange advanced medical knowledge and medical practices, to serve patients and enhance the efficiency of the health sector.

It is noteworthy that Professor Mohamed El -Sawaf is one of the most prominent world specialists in children’s endoscopic surgery, and he has extensive experience in treating complex cases, especially “Hersbring” disease, one of the birth defects that affect colon nerves.
