The Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, in cooperation with Sharjah’s youth, yesterday launched the first version of the “Future Fishermen” program, the interactive initiative targeting school students of the 14-16 age group, with the aim of developing their skills in fishing and enhancing their environmental and societal awareness. The program extends over a period of three weeks, including workshops and educational and applied activities held in five different regions within the Emirate of Sharjah, including Sharjah, Hamriyah, Kalba, Khor Fakkan, and Dibba Al -Hosn, in cooperation with the Aqua Academy for Hunting, Coast Guard, and cooperative societies for fish fishermen in the emirate, and with the participation of fifty students.
