At a time when the world continues to watch a tragedy GazaOfficial statistics issued by the Palestinian Football Association revealed the death of 593 athletes, including 273 football players, during the ongoing aggression on the sector, in addition to the destruction of a large number of sports facilities and stadiums completely.

The Palestinian Football Federation affirmed that the ongoing aggression was not satisfied with harvesting lives, but rather extended to the sports infrastructure in a systematic way, as dozens of sports facilities and stadiums fully destroyed, in a flagrant violation of the Olympic Charter and the humanitarian principles that are supposed to govern sport globally.
Despite the horror of the numbers and scenes that came out of Gaza, the FIFA has not yet issued any statement that the Palestinian athletes have been subjected to or indicate a catastrophe to destroy the sports structure in the Strip.
This international silence raises real questions about the role of major sports institutions, which have always raised the slogans of “sport for peace”, but today they stand helpless – or surrounded – in front of a human and sports tragedy of this size.
At a time when the world talks about the Olympic values and solidarity, the Palestinian athlete is fighting his battle alone … and pays the full price of his life and future.

Despite this shameful international silence, some free voices came out of global sport symbols, confirming that the human conscience is still alive.
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach, clearly said: The tragedy is 3 or 4 hours away from us, and we all watch and play .. We are supposed to have humanity but that does not appear with Palestine.
South Korean Sun, Tottenham’s star, sent an impressive message saying: Food is the most valuable we can present at this time. I appeal to everyone to contribute and donate to save those suffering.
As for David Beckham, the owner of the Inter Miami Club, he said: Since the ceasefire collapsed .. Children live in a nightmare .. One in three people have not eaten days ago .. and 80% of famine deaths are children.
These individual messages drop the masks of major sports institutions, embarrass them in front of the world, and redefine the meaning of “sport for humanity”, and while the voices of the stars rise, FIFA’s silence continues, the institution that raises the slogan “for the game … for the world”, in a position that leaves an open question:
Did football lose its humanity?.
