The Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in the lake, led by Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Salem, Director of the Veterinary Medicine Directorate, continues the activities of the second national campaign for the year 2025 to immunize livestock from cows, buffalo, sheep, and goats against patients with foot -and -foot fever and the rift valley fever, which started on Saturday, July 12.
Feast of 119 thousand heads of cattle against foot -and -mouth
The campaign witnessed the fortification of 2,8506 cattle from cows, buffalo, sheep and goats, bringing the total number of immunization since the start of the campaign until now to 119 thousand and 369 heads, through the fortifications of all veterinary departments at the governorate level.
Dr. Jacqueline Azar stressed the importance of periodic fortifications as an effective way to protect livestock, stressing the need to intensify awareness and guidance campaigns for livestock breeders to introduce them to the seriousness of epidemic diseases and the importance of immediate reporting of any suspicions.
Al -Buhaira governorate appealed to citizens full cooperation with the veterinary committees to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve its goals in preserving the safety of livestock, and supporting the state’s efforts in achieving food security, within the framework of the keenness of preserving livestock development and enhancing procedures for preventing epidemic diseases.
