The Israeli channel 11 said that there are estimates of the destruction of the headquarters of the General Staff of the Syrian Army, as a result of the Israeli raids on Damascus, today, Wednesday, which targeted the headquarters of the Syrian armed forces.
Today, Wednesday, the Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, directed the transfer of forces from the Gaza Strip to the Golan Heights in the border region with Syria, in light of the escalation of security tensions after armed clashes in the city of As -Suwayda in southern Syria.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation stated that the chief of staff directed the transfer of forces from Gaza to the Golan Heights.
The Israeli army announced, in a statement, that the forces on the border with Syria will be strengthened with more forces, especially the sites in the front security area on the border, noting that the Druze crossing the fence into Syria without controlling their lives and the Israeli army forces at risk.
Israel’s attacks on Syria
The Israeli Army Radio also stated that the Israeli Air Force launched a warning attack on the presidential palace in Damascus, after targeting the headquarters of the Syrian Chief of Staff.
On the other hand, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, quoting a political source, stated that the United States is working to calm the situation in Syria.
The Israeli Channel 12 also quoted an American official as saying that the American administration asked Israel to stop its attacks on Syria, and to open a dialogue with the government in Damascus to calm tensions.
