The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Cairo, Layo Lychiang, stressed that the relations between Egypt and China are a leading model for the strategic partnership between countries, noting that the two countries have exchanged support in good and bad times for nearly seven decades to establish diplomatic relations between them.
This came during a speech delivered by the Chinese ambassador this evening, during a ceremony held on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, in the presence of a number of senior political figures, ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Egypt.
The ambassador pointed out that the bilateral relations between Cairo and Beijing are witnessing a prosperous and accelerating development, as historical friendship is strengthened and mutual political confidence deepens, as practical cooperation achieves fruitful results at all levels, adding that the two countries continue to coordinate in international and regional forums, which reflects real solidarity and based on joint gain.
A new stage of deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership
Litchiang referred to the recent official visit made by the Chinese Speaker of the Chinese State Council, Lee Qiang, to Cairo, during which he met President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hanafi Jabali, and Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly.
He pointed out that the meetings witnessed an in -depth exchange of views on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, which established a new stage of deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Egypt and China, in implementation of the consensus reached by Presidents Sisi and Shi Jinping.
The ambassador affirmed that the two countries will continue to build on these solid foundations, to push bilateral relations towards welcoming horizons in the future.
