A phone call was made between Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, and Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
Ambassador Tamim Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that communication dealt with developments in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian-Qatari efforts to reach a ceasefire, stop the crimes and flagrant violations committed by Israel against Palestinian civilians, and ending the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip.
The two ministers affirmed their full commitment to continuing negotiations and making efforts to quickly reach a comprehensive ceasefire agreement that contributes to the enforcement of humanitarian and relief aid to the sector, and to stop the repeated crimes committed by Israel.
The two ministers dealt with developments in Egypt’s hosting of the International Conference for Recovery and Reconstruction, which aims to implement the Arab-Islamic plan for the reconstruction of the sector, and they also agreed on the importance of continuing joint coordination between the two brotherly countries and working to continue to mobilize international support for the establishment of the Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
