Dr. Sahar Salem sheds light on the book of the history of China and the Chinese Arabization at the Alexandria International Book Library

Dr. Sahar Salem, Professor of History and Islamic Civilization at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alexandria, presented a presentation of the most important thing in the book of the history of China and Chinese expropriation and its comparison with Western Orientalism until the modern era, “pointing out that the book comes in 200 pages and is divided into two parts.

This came on the sidelines of a symposium organized by the Library of Alexandria, as part of the cultural program for its international book exhibition, and witnessed the signing of the book, which was written by Mr. Yang Yi, the Consul General of China in Alexandria, and Dr. Sahar Salem, where they gifted a number of copies of the book to the Library of Alexandria.

Salem explained that the first part of the authorship of Mr. Yang Yi and deals with the ruling Chinese families in the Middle Ages, China -Arab relations in ancient and medieval times, glimpses of the history of China and the ruling families, and contemporary Chinese women and a legacy of ancient history, in which he referred to the first Chinese woman and her name was mentioned in the Chinese records.

She pointed out that the second part of the book, which it composed includes the geographical theater, China, the ruling families in China in the ancient era, glimpses of the history and civilization of China and the ruling families in a way that is parallel to the Islamic era, women and the throne in China, China and the world of the Mediterranean.

She emphasized that she was interested in dealing with the ancient era to clarify the civilizational achievements of China from the oldest ages and what China has provided humanity thousands of years before Europe. She added that she presented through the book a new topic in Arab studies, which is the Chinese Arabization by presenting its roots, development and comparing it with Western Orientalism.
