The Spanish newspaper AS confirmed that the renewal negotiations of the Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaroma with Paris Saint -Germain are witnessing a state of stalemate, due to differences between the two parties over the terms of the new contract, at a time when attention is increasing towards him from one of the Premier League clubs.
The newspaper added that the player wants to increase his salary, in appreciation of his distinguished performance last season, during which he contributed to the crowning of the Parisian team with the Champions League title, along with a local trilogy, the League, Cup and Super, along with the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
Although the player brilliance in the recent period, the Paris Saint -Germain administration made an offer to the player with a contract based on the number of matches played by the goalkeeper, which Donnaroma rejected, preferring to obtain a fixed salary.
The Italian goalkeeper is scheduled to end in June 2026, while the administration is seeking to resolve the renewal during the current Mercato to avoid entering the last season without an agreement.
