During the meeting, Dr. Al -Salman confirmed that the health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain is receiving great care and attention from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, which was reflected in the qualitative initiatives witnessed by this vital sector recently, and the development of the level of medical and treatment services, For health institutions, referring to the ambitious national strategies aimed at improving public health and promoting the quality of life.
And Dr. Al -Salman that the Shura Council is keen to keep pace with the national legislation system the progress witnessed by the health sector globally by reviewing the laws concerned with health, and working to develop them in line with the best practices, standards and international requirements, pointing to the importance of cooperation and exchange of visions between the legislative institution and international health organizations, praising the role played by the World Health Organization in supporting national plans to develop health services, And promoting health security in light of the rapid global challenges.
The two sides also reviewed possible cooperation in supporting health legislation in the Kingdom, and keeping pace with international standards, as well as discussing initiatives aimed at improving the quality of health care based on global health developments, raising the level of societal awareness of public health, especially with regard to prevention, chronic diseases, mental health, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
