The Chamber of Engineering, headed by Mohamed Al -Muhandis, signed a cooperation protocol with the Industry Update Center headed by Dr. Doaa Salima, the protocol aims to rehabilitate and develop 300 companies from the Chamber and rehabilitate 300 other companies to export their products to global markets.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Azim, Executive Director of the Egyptian Industries Union, Engineer Kamal El -Desouki, member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Engineering Industries, are: Engineer Hamada Dawood, Engineer Amr Abu Farikha, Engineer Tariq Abdin, and Professor Shaima Alba, along with Mohamed Youssef, Executive Director of the Egyptian Businessmen Association.
Also attended by the chiefs of the people, Eng. Bahaa Al -Adly and Eng. Naji Youssef, and from the Industry Update Center, the project representative, Nisreen Rifaat.
Mohamed Al -Muhandis greeted the Chamber’s Board of Directors, which agreed to adopt 10 million pounds to provide a package of services to members, including the development and rehabilitation of companies.
Forming a permanent committee to determine the number of courses
For his part, Eng. Abdel -Sadiq Ahmed, Technical Adviser to the Chamber of Engineering Industries, revealed that a permanent committee has been formed to determine the number of courses, setting each course programs, and choosing representatives of universities and relevant authorities that will participate in the rehabilitation and training programs for companies.
He added that the duration of the companies ’qualification and development program will be 3 years, noting that all member companies in the room can communicate with the administrative apparatus for registration and subscribe to the appropriate courses for each company.
“We are an integral part of the engineering rooms and export councils, and Saada in cooperation with the Chamber and the expensive confidence in the center,” said Dr. Doaa Salima, Director of the Industry Update Center. She confirmed the existence of a distinguished team that works to prepare a new generation of manufacturers from the second and third generations.
She added: “We hope to repeat this experience in the rest of the industrial rooms,” announcing the inauguration of a website for engineering and chemical industries, with the aim of deepening local manufacturing, creating a kind of tangle between manufacturers, and contributing to the organization of commodity exhibitions, which receive the attention of the Ministry of Transport led by the team full of the minister.
Dr. Khaled Abdel -Azim, Executive Director of the Egyptian Industries Union said: “What is collected from fees and contributions is directed to serve the members, which is the primary goal that the Chamber seeks to achieve.”
He stressed that the industry update center, which was previously seen as a mere “storage and funds”, has today become an integrated experience that provides rehabilitation, training and development services for various industries.
Engineer Amr Abu Farikha, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Engineering, explained that this project is the result of 4 years of effort, noting that they are currently working on preparing to celebrate the graduation of the first batch.
He added that the industry update center is an expert house comparable to any international party, stressing that the Chamber is able to develop its members with its own capabilities.
For his part, Eng. Ayman Al -Fakhrani, Chairman of the Small and Medium Industries Committee, explained that the idea of the project started with the President of the Chamber, Engineer Mohamed Al -Muhandis for a while, in the context of searching for ways to develop small and medium -sized companies and increase their competitiveness.
He pointed out that the Chamber contacted several parties, and found an opportunity appropriate to cooperate with the industry modernization center because of its distinct efficiency and experience, calling for the need to raise awareness of the importance of the project to develop small and medium industries, and to encourage cadres that need to raise efficiency.
