Continue to enable national competencies through professional development programs to raise government performance efficiency and devote the principles of governance

Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and with the support and follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, continues its determined efforts towards enabling national competencies in the public sector, by enhancing training and professional development programs in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of government performance Governance.

He explained that the government, in light of its program for the years (2023 – 2026) is committed to investing in the development of national cadres and enhancing the efficiency of the government apparatus through the development of institutional performance, upgrading the quality of public services, and encouraging innovation, pointing in this regard to the basic pillars of the Public Administration Institute in this path through the qualitative programs that it provides to build capacity and develop government leaders to enhance the sustainability of excellence in the public sector.

This came when heading this morning (Sunday – 13 July 2025) the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Institute of the General Administration of the third quarter of this year 2025, where the most prominent achievements of the institute and follow -up of its strategic programs and initiatives aimed at qualifying and developing public sector employees and providing them with modern skills compatible with international administrative practices.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and His Highnesses and His Excellency the members of the Board of Directors expressed the best congratulations and blessings to His Excellency Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Issa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, on the occasion of her election as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Institute for Administrative Science Government in government work.

The Council also briefed on the indicators of the institute’s performance during the second quarter of this year, which showed remarkable growth in the number of training programs provided, and in addition to the number of beneficiaries, which reflects the effectiveness of the applied training plans and the efficiency of the approved programs.

The Council also reviewed the developments related to the institutional inclusion of the institute with the Education and Training Quality Authority, where the importance of continuing to work to achieve the highest institutions of institutional quality and ensuring the sustainability of improvement and development in performance.

The council also discussed the “Tourist Guide” program, which the institute poses on international accreditation from the British (NoCN) Foundation, after fulfilling all the requirements for rehabilitating the institute as an accredited center, and considering the program a professional certificate, which enhances the status of the institute as a pioneer for education and training in the region.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the national cadres at the institute, and to support the development and advancement process of work in the government sector.
