The Child Protection Unit in the electronic space of the General Administration of Anti -Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security managed to arrest a person (41 years), after using a number of children and luring them to obtain video clips, using his account in social media applications.
She explained that immediately after receiving a communication from one of the parents in this regard, the unit started searching, investigating, collecting information and evidence, which resulted in the identification of the accused, as he was arrested after taking all legal measures in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
The Child Protection Unit stressed the importance of following parents to their children permanently and continuously, and educating them about the risks of using social media applications and other applications of all kinds, and ensuring the applications they use, in addition to making them aware of the methods of proper behavior when exposed to any threat or danger. The unit also called on the parents to communicate immediately with it by contacting the direct number of unit 33523300, or by email (Email Protected) when suspected of any activity that would pose a threat to the safety of children.
