Bank of Egypt raises the credit facilities of the Solidarity Corporation for 200 million pounds

Banque Misr signed an agreement with the Solidarity Foundation for Microfinance to increase the existing credit facilities to 200 million pounds, with the aim of meeting the needs of women -led projects, and facilitating their obtaining the necessary financing, in order to enhance the competitiveness of their projects.

This agreement comes within the framework of the keenness of Banque Misr and the Solidarity Foundation for Microfinance, to support economic development efforts and expand the umbrella of financial inclusion, in line with the directions of the Central Bank of Egypt and the General Authority for Financial Supervision, aimed at maximizing the role of the small projects sector as the locomotive of economic growth.

The largest number of beneficiaries

Mona Zulfiqar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Solidarity Foundation for Microfinance, commented: The signing of that agreement with Banque Misr – one of the most ancient banks operating in Egypt, supports the Foundation’s strategy towards expansion and growth and reaching the largest number of beneficiaries, as we believe that this partnership will contribute effectively to supporting the efforts to empower Egyptian women.

Zulfikar pointed out the necessity of concerted national efforts and stimulating effective partnerships in order to enhance the state’s plans to support the national economy, with its belief in the ability of this funding to advance production and create new job opportunities, which contributes to increasing the national product, in line with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s 2030 vision.

Providing distinctive financing mechanisms that meet all financing needs

For its part, Reham Farouk, CEO of the Solidarity Foundation for Microfinance, expressed her pride in signing this agreement, which would contribute to attracting new segments of micro -projects women, to provide distinct financing mechanisms that meet all the financing needs of these segments, and enable them to reach the appropriate financing for their projects easily and easily.

Reham Farouk explained that the Solidarity Corporation for Microfinance provides many various financing products and programs that suit different clients segments, which include “individual financing, group financing, family financing, gold financing and individual financing”, in addition to non -financial solutions and services, based on the role of the institution as one of the leading bodies in the field of micro -project financing.
