The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s welcome and appreciation for the efforts of the sisterly United Arab Emirates in saving the crew of the Magic Cies after being targeted in the waters of the Red Sea, valuing its effective and responsible humanitarian response in urgent coordination and fruitful cooperation with international maritime authorities, including the UK’s Maritime Transport Authority.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed strong condemnation of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its strong condemnation of the attack that targeted the British commercial ship and its civil crew while crossing the waters of the Red Sea, as a threat to navigation and international trade lines and the marine environment, calling for the concerted regional and international efforts to preserve maritime security and the safety of waterways, and establish peace and stability in the region and the world, according to commitment to the principles of international law and relevant international agreements.
