Our national volleyball team achieved a big and historical leap by its thirty -eighth place on the ladder of the global rankings of the International Volleyball Federation, after a series of positive results achieved by the team during the past years.
Our team managed to advance to 38th after achieving 105.8 points, and ahead of many strong teams such as Tunisia, Denmark, Sweden and other teams.
This achievement is the first of its kind to be recorded in the history of volleyball and Bahraini sports, especially since our team entered the classification of the International Federation only several years ago.
Our team also succeeded in the past two years by overcoming advanced teams in the world rankings, and the brotherly Qatari team, which is ranked 20 globally, is led by its superiority in the final of the Arab teams championship 2024 AD, along with his Al -Annabi’s Muqaba in the final match of the West Asian Championship last Saturday, which was very close to achieving its title.
While our team outperformed its South Korean counterpart, which is ranked 26th in the ranking, as part of the last Asian Nations Cup semi -final, which Al -Ahmar won its title for the first time in its history.
This achievement is the best for a team game in Bahrain’s achievement of this center on the global volleyball rankings.
This achievement comes by achieving the visions and strategy of the Bahrain Volleyball Federation in supporting national teams, and enhancing its position on the Asian and international sports map at all levels, as the Federation applies its development strategy at a steady pace in order to raise the level of national teams’ participation to men and Sunni groups
