The members of the Gas Manufacturer – Branch of the Gulf Cooperation Council states were elected during the meeting of the Executive Board of Directors that was held on June 30, 2025, Dr. Anwar Al -Kharusi, President of the Association, Engineer Adel Al -Jabri as Vice President, Engineer Badr Al -Baqishi as Secretary of the Secretary, and Engineer Ahmed Al -Janahi as a financial secretary.
The Executive Committee also included in its membership by Dr. Anwar Al -Kharusi from OQEP, Eng. Adel Al -Jabri from Adnoc Sour Gas, Eng. Badco Gas, Eng. Ahmed Al -Janahi from BAPCO UPSTREAM, Eng. Al -Jutaili from KNPC, Engineer Mohamed Al -Majini from PDO, Eng. Mohamed Al -Otaibi from Kipic, Eng.
Through its vision this year, the association seeks to be a major communication platform and a reliable source of information related to the gas processing industry in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
In a related context, Engineer Anwar Al -Khasri, the president of the association, expressed his gratitude to the members of the association for their confidence that they have given to him, stressing the association’s commitment to continuing the implementation of its strategies and goals, and devoting its efforts to be a platform for exchanging technical experiences and knowledge between workers and suppliers in the gas sector, as well as seeking to improve operational operations in factories, and enhance health, safety and environment programs in the countries of the Council.
Al -Khursi pointed out that the achievements achieved due to collective work and integration in visions between previous departments, praising the concrete leadership provided by the previous leadership that contributed to pushing the association’s march towards achieving its ambitious goals.
It is worth noting that the Branch of the Gulf Cooperation Council states of the Gas Mechanna Society was established in 1993 to be a university umbrella for workers in the gas industry in the Arab Gulf region, where its idea was launched from a meeting held in Bahrain in November 1992 with the participation of representatives of nine Gulf oil companies, and it was agreed that the association’s headquarters in the Kingdom of Bahrain was agreed.
Since its foundation, the association has organized 30 conferences in various Gulf countries, during which it reviewed more than 1,600 working papers and scientific research in the areas of gas manufacturing and its operations, with the participation of more than 8,000 engineers, engineers and operator from major Gulf and international oil companies. The association recently hosted its thirtieth conference in the city of Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the last quarter of April 2025, which coincided with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Gulf branch, and the association is preparing to announce the host country to embrace its next conference No. 31.
