Cairo 24 from well -informed sources at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, that the Ministry is in the process of implementing a major qualitative shift in the course of technical education in Egypt, by launching a new certificate under the name of the “Egyptian Technology Baccalaureate”, which will be officially adopted as an alternative to traditional technical diplomas, within the framework of new amendments that were included in the Education Law.
Sources revealed in exclusive statements, that this step represents the fruit of development efforts that lasted for 10 years, and included updating the infrastructure of technical schools, developing curricula, and linking education to the labor market, explaining that the Egyptian technological baccalaureate certificate is not just a change in the name, but rather a fundamental transformation in the philosophy of technical education in Egypt, where it is based on the full combination of the theoretical and practical aspects, and depends on a more integrated academic system With the requirements of the local and international labor market.

He pointed out that each school will include an accredited industrial partner, so that the student gets real practical training within factories and companies, in parallel with the theoretical study within the school, which enhances his readiness to engage immediately in the labor market after graduation, adding that the legal framework for this new certificate has been completed in the legislative amendments to the education law, provided that the ministry begins discussing the details of the project application during the coming period, in preparation for its launch As the largest educational project in the history of Egyptian technical education.
He stressed that the Egyptian technological baccalaureate certificate comes as a real response to the requirements of sustainable development, and is in line with the vision of Egypt 2030, by preparing qualified technical cadres that possess modern technological skills, and meet the needs of the labor market locally and regional.
