Informed Palestinian sources revealed that there is progress in efforts to reach a truce agreement in the Gaza Strip, where responses were delivered by Hamas to the Egyptian and Qatari intermediaries regarding the American proposal for the ceasefire, and these responses were described as “positive” and may contribute to bringing views.
An American ceasefire proposal
US President Donald Trump had announced earlier a “final proposal” of a 60 -day truce between Israel and the Palestinian parties, stressing that he is waiting for responses within hours. Trump said that Israel agreed to the basic conditions for the completion of the agreement, pending the position of the other parties.
Continuous concerns and field escalation
Despite these diplomatic moves, the Israeli public position is still strict, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists on disarming the factions, while military operations continue in the Gaza Strip. According to Palestinian medical sources, 138 Palestinians have been killed during the past twenty -four hours, including 15 in a bombing of displaced people west of Khan Yunis.
Popular demands to stop the war
On the other hand, Gaza witnessed touching scenes of the families of the victims, and demonstrations in Tel Aviv organized by the families of the prisoners and missing persons, in which they demanded a deal that ends the war and returned the detainees to their homes. And they raised slogans, including: “Establish the deal”, in a direct invitation to the American president to move.
