Syrian media reported on Monday evening, an explosion in the customs area behind the radio and television building in the center of the capital, Damascus.
The smoke columns were seen ascending from the area after the explosion, while social media users posted pictures and videos of the incident.
An explosion in Damascus
The Syrian news channel reported that a fire broke out due to an electrical current failure in a building of the Ministry of Interior near the Umayyad Square in the capital, Damascus, and the damage is limited to the material, while activists claimed a car bomb explosion in the area.
Two weeks ago, a number of dead and wounded were killed by a suicide bombing inside the St. Elias Church in Damascus countryside, in which about 25 people were killed and others were wounded.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior said that a suicide bomber belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS had entered the Church of St. Mar Elias in the Al -Duwaida neighborhood of the capital, Damascus, where he opened fire, then blew himself up with an explosive jacket.
