The Russian embassy in Cairo announced details of an agreement to equip the Dabaa nuclear plant with modern security systems, which are completely compatible with the standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The embassy said in a statement: On July 8, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the signing ceremony of the protocol was held to make amendments to the governmental agreement to cooperate in building the Dabaa nuclear power plant in Egypt, in addition to the additional agreement for the engineering, supply and construction contract (EPC) of the Dabaa station between the Atomstroyexport company (EPC) And the Egyptian Nuclear Energy Stations Authority.

The statement added: The new documents stipulate that the Russian side can participate in the design and supply of equipment and materials and the implementation of the construction, installation and operation work necessary to establish a material protection system for the Dabaa nuclear energy station, and the station’s site will be equipped with modern security systems that are fully compatible with the standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
