American stocks begin the week with standard leaps driven by an American -European trade agreement

According to Reuters, this morning, the Dow Jones Industrial Index declined by 0.10% to 44,855.92 points, moving away from only 215 points from its highest levels recorded last December. On the other hand, the S& P 500 index increased by 0.08%, and the Nasdaq Board index rose by 0.28%.

This positive performance comes in the wake of the joint declaration between US President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Line a new trade framework, which includes reducing customs duties on European Union imports to 15%, or half average that was to be applied in early August.

Since its lowest levels recorded in April, the S&P 500 index jumped by more than 30%, while Nasdaq rose by more than 40%, supported by previous trade agreements with Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Despite the strong momentum, the markets this week face a pivotal test, with the announcement of the results of the profits of giant technology companies such as “Mita”, “Microsoft”, “Amazon” and “Apple”, in conjunction with the convening of the FBI meeting and the approaching American customs deadline.

In a related context, Alphabet surprised the investors last week with a significant increase in its capital spending to support artificial intelligence projects, while Tesla disappointed the expectations of its warnings of expected pressure due to reducing government support for electric cars, however, Tesla’s share increased by 0.4% after signing a deal worth 16.5 billion dollars with Samsung to obtain electronic chips.
