The American Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Stephen Bondi, stated that the United States honored this week with the hosting of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, on an official visit to Washington during the period from 15 to 17 July 2025. His Highness’s meetings embodied the depth and durability of the strategic partnership and firm friendship between the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain. This visit also strengthened the broad cooperation between our two countries through a common vision to promote peace and prosperity in the United States, Bahrain and the region as a whole.
The ambassador stressed, in a press statement, that His Highness’s visit witnessed a prominent success in strengthening the security, commercial and technological ties and energy sectors, in addition to strengthening relations between the two peoples. The important commercial agreements that have been announced are a clear indication of close cooperation between the two private sectors in the two countries, and the integration of their economies. We also welcome in particular the announcement of the Gulf Air Company for the inauguration of direct flights to the United States, which would enhance communication and rapprochement between Bahraini and American citizens.
He also pointed out that the participation of the United States, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom in the celebration of the United Kingdom’s accession to the comprehensive agreement of security and prosperity (C-SIPA), which comes as a continuation of the historical vision established by the Abrahamic agreements, by establishing an integrated security and economic framework that enhances stability and prosperity in the region. The United Kingdom’s accession to the agreement is an essential step towards a more comprehensive cooperation in facing common challenges and opportunities, which paves the way for a more solid and sustainable stage in the Gulf region.
He pointed out that the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Washington to the strength and vitality of the United States of America and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is one of the basic pillars of the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, and it also established new foundations for expanding bilateral cooperation in an effort to achieve peace, stability and prosperity.
