The National U-19 Youth Team signed in the second group in the Gulf Teams Championship to be held from August 28- September 9 in Abha, sister of Saudi Arabia.
Al -Shabab Red has signed in the second group, which includes the Omani teams, Iraq and Egypt, the guest of this version of the tournament.
On this occasion, the director of the National Youth Football Team, Abdullah Al -Fardan, expressed his confidence in the ability of the youth team to provide a distinguished participation in the Gulf U -19 Championship, scheduled to be held in the city of Abha in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Where Al -Fardan said in his statement to “Al -Watan Al -Riyadi”: “The lot came balanced, and includes strong teams with a long history in regional competitions, but our team seeks to provide its best, and to appear in an honorable manner befitting the reputation of Bahraini football.”
He continued: “The tournament represents an important station within the preparatory program set by the technical staff led by the national coach Ali Amer, the assistant Walid Abdul Rahman, and the assistant technical staff, with the aim of raising the readiness of the players at the physical, technical and mental levels, in preparation for the most important benefits, led by the Asian qualifiers scheduled for next year.”
He added: “We give this Gulf participation a great importance, as it comes within a long -term plan to prepare players and give them the required competitive experience. We look forward to achieving positive results that contribute to building confidence and achieving the desired technical goals.”
Al -Fardan explained that the national team will take a summer camp in Türkiye in preparation for Gulf participation starting from the beginning of next August and will continue until 20 of the same month, and it includes morning and evening training sessions that are running 5 friendly with national teams.
He said: “I would like to thank the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Football Association headed by His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and his deputy, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, for their support for the national team in the preparation period and the provision of this training camp, as well as their standing by the team and all national teams in the preparation stage, in a way that serves the teams and pushes them to reach the required technical readiness, which raises the level Regional and continental posts and entitlements, “wishing the team all the best and success in this upcoming Gulf entitlement.
