Al -Ahmar collides with Oman at the beginning of his career with “the junior of the Gulf basket”

The Gulf Basketball Basketball Championship for U -16, which is hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from 7 to 12 of the same month, will start at the Zain Hall in Umm Al -Hosam, amid the participation of 5 Gulf teams, Bahrain, Kuwait, Emirates, Amman, and Saudi Arabia.

This meeting follows the upcoming first appearance of our national junior team, which faces its Omani counterpart at seven in the evening, amid great Bahraini hopes to achieve a strong start that gives the players a moral boost towards competing for the title.

The Qatari team apologized for participating in the last moments, which made the organizers change the championship system from two groups to the league from one round.

This new hosting represents an extension of the Bahraini Basketball Federation’s approach to embrace Gulf and international championships, as the Kingdom has previously organized many successful activities at the level of different age groups in light of a distinct infrastructure, and highly efficient organizational cadres.

The championship is a new opportunity to highlight the Bahraini capabilities in the integrated sports organization, and a front for exchanging experiences and strengthening relations between brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, based on sporting spirit and honorable competition.

The importance of this Gulf championship is not only limited to the regional competitive dimension, but rather represents a qualifying qualifying stage for the Asian Cup of Junior, scheduled for later in Mongolia.

The teams were received and placed in custom hotels, while providing all comfort and safety requirements for sister Gulf delegations.

All working committees have completed their readiness to successfully host the championship, as various work teams intensified their efforts during the past days to secure all logistical and technical arrangements, in terms of preparing the hall and adopting the timetables of matches, and coordinating the movements of teams.

The coordination meeting discusses the final details

In the same context, the coordinating technical meeting of the championship was held in the presence of representatives of the participating teams, representatives of the Bahrain Basketball Federation, and the Organizing Committee, to find out the latest arrangements and review the regulations and organizational and technical instructions approved by the Gulf Federation and the International Basketball Federation (Fiba).

The meeting witnessed a review of the matches and championship regulations, as well as emphasizing the rules of play and discipline and the distribution of arbitration teams.

During the meeting, the final players’ lists were installed and the colors of the teams were determined in each match.

The Basketball Federation called on the fans to attend and support, and in a move aimed at enhancing the mass interaction with the championship, the Bahrain Basketball Federation sent an open invitation to all the lovers of the game in the Kingdom to attend the championship matches, and support our national junior team in its decisive regional career.

The Federation stressed that the doors of the Zain hall will remain open for free in front of the fans throughout the championship period, calling on families and basketball fans to enjoy the Gulf sporting atmosphere, and to show the civilizational and sports face of the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially in light of hosting a sporting event that reflects the depth of joint Gulf cooperation.

The Federation stressed the importance of the mass attendance as a supportive element for young players in providing their best, and motivating them to provide levels worthy of the name of Bahrain, especially since the team is running the championship at home and among its fans.
