The published information stated that the earthquake center was 149 km southeast of the regional capital, at a depth of 17 km.
According to preliminary estimates, residents of Petrovavlovsk-Kamsksky felt the earthquake of 6 degrees. Later, the main administration of the Russian Emergency Ministry in the Kamchatka region estimated its power at 7-8 degrees.
