A delegation from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Rawaf Mohamed Al -Hassan, Chairman of the Commercial Markets Committee, made a field visit to the site of the fire, which broke out last Saturday in a number of shops and residence for workers in the Hamala area, to determine the damage and losses to the site, and to evaluate the situation closely in communication with the affected people and the relevant authorities.
The delegation included a number of members of the Commercial Markets Committee, who made a comprehensive tour that included the affected sites, and listened to the testimonies of a number of business owners and investors affected by the fire, where the notes were documented.
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Rawaf Mohamed Al -Hassan, stressed that the committee will work to raise its recommendations to the relevant official authorities, and to follow up on the developments of the issue in a way that serves the interest of merchants and the commercial and industrial sector in general, stressing the importance of enhancing safety and readiness requirements within the industrial areas.
In this context, the Chamber renews its deep thanks to the civil defense men for their rapid and effective intervention in controlling the fire and preventing its spread to other sites, which contributed to avoiding human losses and containing material damage in the narrowest possible scale.
