19400 Bahraini visited Turkey during the first five months of this year, are numbers revealed by data issued by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, to reflect a decrease of 19.67% compared to the same period in 2024, as May alone witnessed the number of Bahraini visitors to Turkey reached 3200 visitors, a sharp decrease of 29%. 61.6 thousand visitors, which constitutes a decrease in the numbers from the same period in 2024 by 29.42%. At the time when Turkey recorded a decrease in the number of visitors from a number of countries, it witnessed an increase in the number of visitors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as they numbered about 240.3 thousand visitors from January until the end of May 2025, and it constitutes an increase of 13.82%, and the month of May recorded an increase of 23.51%during the month of May 2025, as they reached a number 83.4 thousand visitors. The number of tourists from the State of Qatar also witnessed an increase during the period from January to May 2025 by 3.45% in numbers of up to 15.5 thousand visitors, and the number of visitors did not exceed 3.1 thousand visitors last May. Statistics confirm that Turkey recorded a decrease in the number of foreign visitors at the general level, as they numbered about 5,037,447 visitors from different countries of the world, and according to the annual change, the decrease has reached the percentage of 1.81% compared to May 2024. She pointed out that during May 2025, the main tourist markets of Turkey are the Russian Federation by 14.79% (745.174), Germany by 11.86% (597.348), and the United Kingdom by 10.86% (547.138) of total visitors, followed by Bulgaria and Poland. The total number of foreign visitors reached 15.6 million visitors during the period from January to May 2025, and it constitutes a decrease of 0.99% compared to the same period from 2024, and despite the slight decrease in the number of visitors, Istanbul and Antalya are still leading the tourism scene.
