Willi Willis, the introduction to the famous British air bulletin, died at the age of 76 after a struggle with dementia.

She was known for her fun style and her bright clothes, and was the first national weather introduction on ITV when she joined the “Good Morning Britain” program in 1983, thanks to the support of TV producer Greg Dyck.

Willis is famous for simplifying the air bulletins and attracting it to the public in its vital style, as she said in a previous statement: “Most people do not care about the scientific details of the weather, all they want is to know if they need an umbrella.”

She participated in the success of the program alongside loved characters, such as: Ann Diamond, myi Lee, and Mad Lesi Web; What made “Good Morning Britain” outperform its competitors in terms of viewing rates.

She started her media career after working on Radio Tiz, and then moved to the Tayne Tiz screen as a weather introduction, and later she presented her own program “Wincey’s Pets” on Granada, according to the Mirror newspaper.

It was born in the name of Florence Winsum Lighton in Gietzide in 1948, and was adopted by a local couple. She was known as “Winsey” from childhood, and later studied in France before returning to Britain.

Her presence had a great impact on the representation of women in the media, as she paved the way for prominent weather introductions, such as: Trech Williamson and Urika Johnson.
