The US Defense Secretary, Beit Higseth, announced in a briefing session before the Senate, just before that his country had allocated $ 26 billion to update and enhance its nuclear capabilities, as part of a comprehensive plan to strengthen military defenses.
US Defense Minister’s statements
The minister said that his ministry is working closely with the Ministry of Internal Security to increase the defense budget, stressing that the United States “is doing everything in its power to defend the country.”
He added that the American administration seeks to restore military manufacturing capabilities at an accelerated pace, explaining that this comes within a new strategic approach aimed at “strengthening peace through power.”
At the end of his statements, the minister stressed that Washington “is always preparing for war as it is preparing for peace”, in a clear message confirming the readiness of the United States to deal with the escalating security challenges on the international scene.
