On Monday, US President Donald Trump announced a full agreement between Israel and Iran, stipulating a comprehensive and complete ceasefire for 12 days.
Trump explained through a post on his “Truth Suosal” platform that the ceasefire will enter into force after about six hours from now, as soon as the “last ongoing tasks” on both sides end.
He pointed out that the agreement provides for a 12 -hour truce that Iran begins first, then Israel begins a similar truce after that, provided that the official end of the war is announced after 24 hours.
“I am pleased to congratulate everyone,” Trump said. “The two parties have shown the courage and intelligence to end this war, which could have extended for years, and destroyed the Middle East completely, but it did not do and will not do,” Trump said.
He added, “During the ceasefire period, each party is committed to peace and respect for the other party.”
Trump described the 12 -day conflict with the “12 -day war”, stressing that the agreement is a “historic achievement”.
He concluded by saying: “God blessed Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and God bless the world.”
On Tuesday, Axius was quoted by a White House official that President Donald Trump is currently seeking to end the war with Iran, and intends to deliver this message clearly to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“The goal is to reach an agreement, and we are not concerned with a new war,” the official added.
Trump thanked the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his effort to achieve peace in the region, following an Iranian attack on the rule of many American in Doha.
