The Chamber of Establishments and Tourism Restaurants, headed by Yasser Al -Tajouri, appealed to all its members from the owners and managers of floating restaurants, the speed of investing the deadline granted by the General Authority for River Transport, and the completion of preparing and providing technical studies necessary to reconcile the conditions of their facilities, in accordance with the controls and requirements approved by the authority, before the deadline specified on June 30.

Sameh Al -Jundi, a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Mames Committee, said that the appeal comes in implementation of the recommendations and decisions of the General Assembly of the Chamber that was held during the past week, noting that the Chamber succeeded through its close cooperation with the General Authority for River Transport in obtaining the approval of the Authority’s Board of Directors, headed Approved technical for each restaurant, which includes fulfilling all the required technical and security requirements.
A limited number of commitment .. and warning of the delay
The soldier added, that the authority officially informed the Chamber that a limited number of restaurants only has submitted to approved technical studies, which the authority considered a negative indication that calls for intervention and facilitation, while emphasizing that the current deadline is the last opportunity to settle the situation.

The soldier emphasized that the authority stressed in its speech that June 30, 2025 is the deadline and the non -extension date, and it will start from the next day in reviewing the conditions of the violating restaurants and taking legal measures against them, in the event that the required technical studies are not submitted by accredited engineering bodies.
He pointed out that the authority attaches the utmost importance to the conditions of construction safety and protecting workers and pioneers, and these elements are pivotal in technical evaluation reports.
