During the past few days, the assembly blood banks in the various cities and centers of Beheira Governorate witnessed a state of complete readiness to the launch of the blood donation campaign under the slogan: “Your donation of blood life”, which starts today, Saturday, June 28 and will continue until Monday 30 June 2025.
The activities of the “Blood Donating Life” campaign will start for a period of three days in the lake today, Saturday
The campaign comes under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, and Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of the lake, which stressed the importance of raising the level of societal awareness of the importance of blood donation, and the need to intensify awareness efforts and provide all capabilities to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve its humanitarian goals.
Earlier, the Lake Health Directorate announced its preparations to implement the campaign by preparing medical teams, sterilizing and providing the necessary equipment, and coordination between hospitals and health centers, in order to ensure the reception of donors in an organized and safe way.
The sites that are preparing to receive the donors include the fixed teams in the blood banks in Damanhour Teaching Hospitals, Edko, Rashid, Abu Homs, Kafr El -Dawar, Hosh Issa, Abu al -Matamir, Mahmoudiyah, Rahmaniyah, Itai El -Baroud, along with the regional center for blood transfusion.
The mobile teams that will be present in vital sites such as Damanhour University and Damanhour Cultural Complex are also equipped
The campaign, along with blood donation, will include health awareness activities implemented by health education, while providing the services of the presidential initiative “check and reassure”, in addition to a specialized medical convoy that includes the services of the internal and children specializations.
The campaign targets healthy citizens from the age of 18 to 65 years, as the campaign seeks to support the stock of blood banks and meet the needs of patients in hospitals, especially in critical cases, accidents and surgeries.
