Students of the Literary Division with Al-Azhar Secondary Certificate continue today, Sunday, to take the first round exams for the academic year 2024-2025, where students are taking the date of history subject amid a wave of extreme heat, as part of the exam schedule that started on May 29 and will continue until July 10.
Dr. Ahmed Badir, Head of the Central Administration of South Sinai Al -Azhar region, confirmed in statements to Cairo 24 that students of the Literary Division perform their exams within 8 main committees distributed over four educational departments, including 6 joint committees for students of the scientific and literary divisions, and two are allocated to literary students only, indicating that the total number of students reached 336 students, including 189 in the literary division and 147 In the scientific division.
Badir explained that the exams are held with the bouquet system that combines the two questions and the answer in one booklet, in a way that achieves a better organization and reduces the chances of cheating, pointing out that the questions were designed to suit the individual differences and a balance between the theoretical and applied side, and the exams are conducted with a daily system, where a day is allocated to students of the Scientific Division and another for literary, except for Friday.
He added that the date of the date of history began at nine in the morning and continues until twelve noon, amid strict procedures to ensure discipline within the committees, where mobile phones and electronic devices for students and observers were prevented, and the provision of metal detection devices within all committees, and training the heads of the committees and observers to address modern fraud, while activating the operating room to follow the conduct of exams, moment by moment.
Badir pointed out that the exams are proceeding in a disciplined manner, without recording any complaints from students or parents regarding the difficulty of the questions, stressing that all the exams so far came at the level of the average student, with the testimony of the students themselves during his inspection tours within the committees.
Due to the high temperatures that exceeded 40 degrees Celsius in some cities of the governorate, he directed a monastery to provide a refrigerated drinking water inside the committees, and to operate the fans to ensure good ventilation, in addition to providing an appropriate environment for students that keep their focus, stressing the importance of good treatment of students and self -control inside the committees, with health visitors to follow up the health condition of students.
Al -Azhar secondary certificate exams are conducted this year under tight security guarding, whether in question distribution centers or within the committees, with accurate inspection procedures, and preventing the entry of any electronic tools that may be used in fraud.
It is noteworthy that the number of applicants for Al -Azhar secondary school exams this year reached 173,808 male and female students at the level of the Republic, distributed over 577 main committees in various governorates.
