18 thousand and 26 students, of whom 16 thousand and 219 are in the modern system, and a thousand and 807 in the old system, today, Sunday, high school exams in Qena Governorate, in the subjects of religious education and national education.

Earlier, Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, held an expanded meeting with the executive leaders in the governorate to follow up the final preparations for high school exams for the academic year 2025/2026, which is scheduled to start today, Sunday, and will continue until July 10.

During the meeting, the governor stressed the need to provide a safe and prepared environment within the committees, by ensuring the readiness of the examination halls in terms of adequate lighting, means of ventilation, and the provision of fans and coolers, in a way that guarantees students’ performance of exams in an appropriate atmosphere that helps them focus and calm.

The meeting was attended by Hani Antar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Qena, Dr. Wael Al -Najmi, Director General of Public Education, Sumaya Abdel Fattah, Director General of Executive Affairs in the Directorate, Ashraf Saad, Director of the Technology Development Center, as well as the heads of cities and directors of educational departments in the various centers of the governorate.

In the context of his decisive directives, the governor of Qena stressed the necessity of full commitment to the regulations regulating the exams within the committees, stressing the prevention of students ’entry into any electronic devices such as mobile phones or headphones, and other means that may be used in cheating, while not being tolerated in dealing with any attempt to violate the conduct of exams.
He also directed the intensification of the security presence in front of the committees and the prevention of the accumulation of the people in its vicinity, in order to preserve discipline and provide a quiet atmosphere.

The governor explained the importance of education as a major tool to build a conscious and educated generation, away from the manifestations of fraud that threaten the future of students and inspect the educational process its credibility.

During the meeting, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Qena reviewed the Directorate’s plan to organize high school exams, pointing to the full coordination between all concerned authorities in the governorate in order to take out the exams in an honorable manner, explaining that 51 committees were equipped at the governorate level, including a committee for students of Al -Nour Schools for the Blind, and another for the school of outstanding (STEM), adding that the total number of students applying for exams 18,026 male and female students, 16,219 of the modern system, and 1,807 in the old system.

Antar also pointed out that the breaks of the observers and observers were equipped, and provided them with all the necessary requirements to ensure their comfort throughout the exam period, confirming the suspension of vacations for all teachers during the exam period.

At the end of the meeting, the governor of Qena directed the necessity of joining efforts between the heads of the centers and cities, and the directors of educational departments, setting a comprehensive work plan to avoid the negatives that appeared in previous years, and stressed the importance of following up general hygiene work, improving ventilation within the committees, and ensuring the safety of seats and school furniture.

The governor pointed out the necessity of complete coordination between the Directorate of Education and the Security Directorate to secure the transfer of question and answers funds from the distribution center to the committees, and to ensure the smooth flow of transport vehicles, in addition to securing the perimeter of the committees and preventing the gatherings of parents, in a manner that ensures the preparation of the appropriate atmosphere for students during the exam period.
