To solve the crisis of drinking water in Hurghada .. The Governor of the Red Sea announces the start of pumping 15 thousand mg per day from the majesty line

Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, announced the start of the actual pumping of the first stage of the Majesty -cream line starting today, Wednesday, with a amount of 15 thousand cubic meters of water per day as a first stage, in the framework of improving the efficiency of water supplies in the governorate.

The continuation of excavation and installation of new pipes

“Hanafi” added in press statements that the excavation and installation of new pipes with a length of 27 km from the cream line – Hurghada is ongoing in a swing, noting that this line is one of the vital lines for transporting water to the city, which contributes to providing 30 thousand cubic meters of water needed to meet the needs of citizens, especially during the summer, which is witnessing an increase in the number of visitors and vacationers in the governorate.

The Governor of the Red Sea emphasized that the Majesty’s line project aims in its entirety to provide about 30 thousand cubic meters of water per day, in addition to raising the efficiency of the “Al -Yusr” sea desalination plant in Hurghada, to increase its production capacity from 40 thousand to 62 thousand cubic meters per day, as part of an ambitious plan to meet the increasing needs of the population and visitors.

He explained that these steps come in implementation of the recommendations of the last meeting held headed by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, regarding the finding of urgent and sustainable solutions to the drinking water crisis in the Red Sea Governorate, noting that the work is carried out in parallel on several axes within a comprehensive plan to develop facilities and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.

The governor concluded his statements by emphasizing that the ongoing projects, in addition to the decisive decisions taken, aim to secure urgent needs of drinking water in the Red Sea Governorate, praising the role of all concerned parties that work tirelessly to adhere to the specified times to ensure a radical and sustainable solution to the water crisis in the governorate.
