The specialized agencies in the Red Sea continued their investigations with the Director General of the Education Directorate, which was arrested, two days ago, dressed in a financial bribe.

Details of the incident

The regulatory and security agencies in the Red Sea Governorate were able to arrest the general director of the Education Directorate, while receiving part of the agreed amount, after official reports were received from some private school owners, stating that he was bargained by them in exchange for facilitating some administrative and supervisory procedures related to their schools.

The permission of the competent authorities was obtained, and the official is discharged with bribery, and that the seizure process came after taking all legal measures, and documenting the incident with sound and video, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Director of Red Sea Education is currently subject to the expanded investigation by the competent supervisory authorities, while the relevant documents and papers have been seized within his office, in preparation for examining them and taking the necessary legal measures.

In the same context, Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, issued a decision to assign Fayza Ahmed to the duties of the Director of the Education Directorate in the governorate, after the competent authorities reserved the former director in the bribery case that is still under investigation.

The assignment decision came in the context of ensuring the regularity of the workflow within the education sector in the governorate, and ensuring the stability of the educational process and not being affected by the recent changes.
