Today, Friday, June 13, the country is witnessing a continuation of the hot wave that strikes most of the parts, as very hot weather prevails during the day on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the south of the country, while it is hot on the northern coasts, moderate heat at night and early in the morning.
The weather today in Egypt
The General Meteorological Authority stated in its official statement that the country is affected by hot air masses coming from the Arabian Peninsula, which leads to a noticeable increase in temperatures, especially in the areas of southern Upper Egypt.
It is expected that a dense waterwall should appear on some agricultural and rapid roads close to water bodies starting at 8:40 am, especially in the areas:
- Greater Cairo
- Northern coasts
- Lower Egypt
- Canal cities
- Central Sinai
The winds are sometimes active on areas of Greater Cairo, South Sinai, and North Upper Egypt, which may reduce the feeling of temperatures at times.

Northern Coast: Great 28 – Minor 19
North Upper Egypt: Great 36 – Minor 22

Meteorologists advise citizens not to expose the sun, especially at noon, wear light cotton clothes, and drink more water.
In a related context, Dr. Manar Ghanem indicated in statements to Cairo 24, that a slight decrease in temperatures starts from next Sunday, with two degrees.
Dr. Manar Ghanem explained that the country was affected by the extension of the seasonal India, accompanied by high -hot air masses, and an air high in the upper atmosphere leads to an increase in the sun’s brightness.
