The UAE participated in the technical briefing of the “WA” organization and “WA”, which was held in the Austrian capital, Vienna, with the participation of delegations from 31 of the major exporting and importing countries of military equipment. The state delegation was headed by the Weapons and Dangerous Materials Office, represented by the authorities concerned with export control. During the briefing, the state delegation presented a presentation entitled: “The strategic value to benefit from international organizations in strengthening national control systems on exports” that highlighted the advanced national control system of the state, its legislative and organizational frameworks, and the mechanisms of effective institutional coordination between the concerned national bodies.
