The delegation of the Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain, headed by His Excellency Deputy Ahmed Sabah Al -Salloum, Vice President of the Asian Parliamentary Society, stressed the support of cooperation and coordination between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in the legislative field, and the importance of activating the Gulf parliamentary diplomacy in international forums, in a way that contributes to the delivery of unified positions towards regional and international issues, especially in light of the political and economic developments witnessed by the region and the world.
The delegation praised the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, may God protect and preserve him, in supporting the joint Gulf action, enhancing communication between the Gulf legislative councils, and the unification of political visions and positions in a way that reflects the common interests and enhances the presence of the GCC states in regional and international parliamentary circles.
This came during the coordination meeting through the visual communication held by the Gulf delegations participating in the meeting of the permanent committee concerned with the political affairs of the Asian Parliament, which is hosted by the city of Mashhad in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and included delegations of legislative councils for both the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the State of Qatar.
The delegation of the Parliamentary Division, which includes in its membership with His Excellency Representative Abdel Hakim Al -Shano, and Dr. Jamila Al -Salman, members of the Political Committee in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, along with Dr. Abdulaziz Apple, member of the Shura Council and member of the Palestine Committee of the Association, pointed out the importance of communicating the vision of the countries of the Cooperation Council towards the overall issues, especially those related to the rule of law, good parliamentary practices, and harmonious development through democracy In addition to supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and enhancing regional and international parliamentary coordination in this regard.
It is worth noting that the meeting of the Standing Committee on Political Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Society will discuss the report of the Assembly Secretary -General, the election of the office, and draft decisions related to good governance, and to enhance cooperation between parliaments and Asian governments to build a more prosperous future based on the foundations of friendship and pluralism.
