Tomorrow, Sunday, the application of Ministerial Resolution No. (3) of 2013 amended by Resolution No. (11) of 2025 regarding the work ban at noon, from June 15 to September 15, 2025, from 12 pm until 4 pm.
According to the decision, it is prohibited to operate workers under the sun and in open places during the prescribed period, as the Kingdom of Bahrain applies this prohibition that is compatible with international work standards with the aim of enhancing the protection of workers from diseases and occupational injuries in this period that is witnessing a rise in temperatures and an increase in humidity rates.
The ministerial decision regarding the prohibition of work at noon states that: “Whoever violates the provisions of this decision shall be punished with the penalties stipulated in Article (192) of Law No. (36) of 2012 with the issuance of the Labor Law in the private sector,” which states that “everyone who violates any of the provisions of Chapter Fifth and the decisions issued in implementation of him for a period not exceeding three months shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months, and a fine of no less than five hundred dinars and no more than a thousand dinars These two penalties. “
The Ministry of Labor has completed all its preparations to supervise the implementation of the decision through the establishment of many educational workshops with the participation of professional safety officials and supervisors in private sector facilities, and the generalization of guidance materials and other awareness messages published on the Ministry’s electronic platforms and directed to workers regarding complications of heat stress and exposure to direct sunlight at noon.
