The Official Gazette published in issue 130 issued on June 15, 2025, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior No. 1104 of 2025, regarding the amendment of the value of the automated passport extraction fee.
The value of extracting the passport and multiplying it in the event of a lost allowance
This came after reviewing Law No. 97 of 1959 regarding passports, Law No. 109 of 1971 regarding the Police Authority, and the Minister of Interior Resolution No. 63 of 1959 to implement some provisions of Law No. 97 of 1959 regarding passports, and on the Minister of Interior Resolution No. 528 of 2009 to implement some provisions of Law No. 195 of 2008 issued to amend some provisions of Law No. 97 of 1959 regarding passports Travel, and on the Minister of Interior Resolution No. 470 of 2024 regarding the amendment of the value of the automated passport extraction fee.
The first article stipulated that the value of the passport extraction fee stipulated in Article 8 of Law No. 97 of 1959 referred to in the amount of 500 pounds, and this value is doubled in the event of a request for obtaining a passport instead of a lost or damaged allowance, all in addition to the other fees established legally.
The second article also stipulates that the Minister of Interior Decision No. 470 of 2024 referred to, and all that violates the provisions of this decision will be canceled, as Article Three stipulates that this decision is published in the Egyptian facts, and it is made as of the first of July 2025.
