Within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to enhance the strategy of community partnership and constructive communication with all events and community spectra, the first team witnessed Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Minister of Interior, this morning at the Police Officers Club, the annual meeting with heads and officials Ashura.
On this occasion, the Minister of the Interior gave a speech, saying:
I am pleased to welcome all of you, and I thank you for meeting the invitation to attend this annual meeting. And I am honored, at the beginning, to convey to you the greetings of my master His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, keep our national unity, and the symbol of the values of tolerance and human dignity. I also convey to you on this occasion; Greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect and preserve him. I would also like to express my thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments for the efforts of support and follow -up and the head of the Jaafari Endowments, for the organizational efforts and attention to everything that contributes to the success of the Ashura season. The generous attendance, we meet today in light of unusual regional conditions, bearing security repercussions that require caution, and we thank God Almighty that things are heading towards stability through negotiations, and in any case, this matter calls for a reminder of the importance of national awareness and the contribution of everyone to bear the responsibility of preserving commitment, discipline and public order. This serious timing calls us to more cohesion, and not to leave any room for those who try to tamper with our national unity, who were known in social media, with the sounds of agitation, through their open calls to mix papers and exploit people’s feelings during the Ashura season. I bet on your sincerity, affiliation and national culture by not paying attention to such inflammatory endeavors, as it does not serve the Bahraini national spirit, which brings us together today, in this council. The generous attendance, allow me to remind you that we have been able to revive and organize the Ashura season during a previous critical period during the Korona pandemic, and our success at the time was clear because of everyone’s interest and cooperation. The Ashura ceremonies, last year, were distinguished in terms of organization and commitment, and I find it a good opportunity; To express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the heads of the funerals and those in charge of them and the pioneers, because of the cooperation and discipline that we have touched in this success, which reflects the extent of societal awareness and national responsibility by everyone. Let Ashura this year be a season and an opportunity in which the bodies appear, the sincerity of the commitment and the depth of responsibility. This requires more cooperation, coordination, vigilance and commitment to maintaining the security of the occasion. And you / brothers / due to the accurate regional circumstances, in front of a greater responsibility this year, to control its activities, and we will not leave room for those who seek to go out on order and law and we will achieve this together, God willing. Ashura will not be suitable for spreading chaos and violating the system, but rather to be appropriate for good organization and commitment.
There is an order, I would like to refer to, at the end of my speech; It is that the funerals in Bahrain have been present for hundreds of years, even before it is in Iran. It will remain under the responsibility of the families that have inherited and preserved them, over these years, and at the same time they receive the necessary attention in the context of tolerance and brotherhood between citizens and residents.
But it is important to focus on the essence of the occasion and not to be allowed to convert the funeral processions into political marches. You are the first to maintain and be keen on discipline and organizing this Husseinian occasion. And because you want it safe, we are with you, and if there is someone who wants it a violation; We are not with him, but he will find us / together / in front of him. The generous attendance, we all enjoy this authentic national harmony in light of the generous royal sponsorship of Sidi His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him. By God, we ask to preserve the protector of our national unity, and to perpetuate security and stability.
The activities of the annual meeting also included a speech delivered by Dr. Hassan Al -Areed, on behalf of the heads and officials of the funerals, at the beginning, the sincere appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty the Great King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, praising the Minister of Interior’s keenness to communicate and sponsor this meeting, which is very annual appropriate to a large sector of members of society who live Ashura rituals in a spiritual atmosphere.
And Dr. Al -Areed expressed his pride in the common denominators that bring together Bahraini society, foremost of which is the inheritance of the ties of national cohesion, noting the belief of the people of the homeland with their noble and common values and meanings, which require everyone to advance responsibility for the success of this occasion with lofty meanings, and expression through the Husseinian platforms.
He said that Ashura deserves to revive her, away from any external influences and not being drawn from any calls or practices, the occasion may come out of its spiritual framework, so that Ashura Bahrain remains distinguished by its religious nature, its reassuring sanctity, and its activities go through the Husseini platforms in calm and tranquility.
He added that the families and sons of Bahrain are accustomed to making this occasion an opportunity for cooperation, dedication and societal interdependence, which reflects the spirit and morals of the Husseini culture in the days of Ashura.
After the meeting, the heads and officials of the funerals praised the support enjoyed by the Ashura season from His Majesty the Great King and the support of the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, appreciating the role of the relevant official authorities in providing all the necessary services to ensure the success of the Ashura season, in a manner that preserves social cohesion and stability and preserves the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood among members of society.
