His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Saleh Al -Alawi, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the session (44) participated in the Arab Social Affairs Council of Ministers of Affairs with an opening speech within the high -level side event organized by the Social Affairs Sector at the League of Arab States, and with the participation of a number of regional and international bodies and organizations concerned with affairs of people with disabilities, on the sidelines of the eighteenth session of the Conference of the States parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in New York, to discuss promoting social development policies to support Empowering persons with disabilities in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovative financing.
On the sidelines of the participation, His Excellency the Minister of Social Development held a bilateral meeting with Mrs. Sima Research, Undersecretary of the United Nations Secretary -General and Executive Director of the United Nations Women, during which the prospects for joint cooperation and supportive initiatives were discussed in light of the presidency of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the 44th session of the Council of Arab Social Affairs. His Excellency also met with His Excellency Dr. Adam Kousa, Minister of State for Disability Policy at the Ministry of Interior in the state of Hungary, where experiences and experiences on policies and practices supporting the rights of persons with disabilities were exchanged, and discussed ways of bilateral cooperation to enhance social inclusion by exchanging experiences and experiences in the areas of support and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
